AJs flopped two pair; lots of betting/action

Haven't been at the table long. Only read on BB is that he appears LAG-ish from what I've seen. Do I cap the flop or smooth call and wait for the turn before making a raise?

The turn card is going to dramatically effect your hands value. With that in mind I call the 3 bet and get ready to raise BB when he bets out on the turn.

Calls. Then if it's a non threatening card on the turn, raise him. If he 3bets again, call down.

what do you do if a Q K or a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] hits?

I would just call on the flop, he has AK, KQ, AJ or AT.
I'd raise him on the turn if the card is not K or Q. If he 3-bets on turn, I'd just call down.

Tough spot. Unless a K or Q falls on the turn, I think we have to raise there for protection's sake. An interesting reason for capping the flop might be to increase our power of trimming the field (who is afraid to be in the middle of a [censored]-show) on the turn.

I think this is more effectively done by raising BB when he most certainly bets out on the turn. We're going to do it anyway unless a K or Q falls, so might as well make that 1BB count for something more.

Thanks the replies. I ended up calling the flop three bet, as did MP2. In retrospect, I think raising the turn on a non scare card would probably have been the correct, but I decided to call instead.

Here's how the hand plays out until the river. The next question is how to play the river. Comnments, advice, etc., are definitely welcome.

Turn: (8.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4
players)
BB bets, Hero calls, MP2 calls.

River: (11.75 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4
players)
BB bets, Hero??

Cap the flop and bet the turn when he checks, slowdown if he check raises you. If he leads the turn I'd just call.
