Can a case be made to draw to 2 outs on a paired board ?

I had 2 2 . Normally I play these pocket pairs and if I don't hit on the flop I fold to any bet. I ended up folding 22 on a two suited flop which eventually paired and then I hit a 2 on the river. The player hit a flush and I would have hit a full house and I'm sure I would have ended up with his stack. The betting wasn't that heavy until the river when the 3rd club hit. The betting was only twice the blind until the river. Would any of you ever draw to two outs in anticipation of him hitting his flush and you hitting a full house ? I guess the more I think about it the more it is probably - EV unless you think you can get 8 to 1 on your money if they happen to hit two pair or something.

yeah i dont like folding pocket pairs just in case i turn or river a set

call any pot bets up to 1.5x the pot

hey you might have the best hand

Also, you should sometimes raise, to clean up your outs.

If you can weather the betting, it's amazing how often these small pocket pairs are good unimproved at showdown.

You obviously still haven't read the Ciaffone book. Get on that.

I know I need to get on that but I can't help but think that you are messing with me. I have that sixth sense you know.

8-1 sounds too high. Call every time you get 6-1.

You are 2.2 to 1 to hit your card, so if the pot is laying you more than 2.2 to 1, the play is to RAISE!

hahahaha . I'm having a great night. Very profitable. I'm not losing tonight. Already up $60. Yesterday I made $160. I was having a lot of you 2 + 2 'ers for dinner. Just taking a little break right now. HA.... I got poker skills man I know you are 22 to 1 to hit your pocket pair after the flop. I guess you are right. Fold that. BUT, you will hit your pocket pair on the board 20 % of the time so hmmm interesting dilemma we have. I'm listening to music and I'm about to go attack the tables again or more like playing the folding game.
