alright here are the rules

Location: Pokerstars .02/.04 HU tables
Format: Double Elimination Bracket
Entry Fee: $5 plus required BB's for match, all money from match wins are not part of tourney prize
Payout: top8. 40%1st, 20%2nd, 10%3rd, 4th .. 5% 5th-8th
Round length: 72hrs, match must be completed and reported in that time

All matches will be 50BB freezeouts, both players start with $2 on the table, match ends when I player has all $4 .. no rebuys

the players list is not the seeding for the tournament, which will be done randomly after confirming entries

also though the poll suggestted a compromise for entry fee, I'll let majority rule of the ppl approved to determine the official fee

so everyone listed, please check in, also state your preference of entry fees .. 0, 5, 10

the bracket and first round pairings will be posted after confirming players

entry fee is due before the end of the first round, sent interaccount transfer to my stars account, where it will remain till tournament is completed, I'll handle the payout of prizes

any player in the tournament who does not transfer the entry fee to my account before the end of the first round, will be eliminated from the competition

anyone who signed up but isn't on the list is someone, who either had a very small post count, or I didn't recognize your name from Micros .. if you feel you were left out PM me and I'll consider adding you

I hope to have the bracket ready to go by Friday afternoon

Confirmed. And a $5 entry fee is just fine with me. At the same time I wouldn't care if it was $0 instead, because that would emphasize the fun and bragging rights of it. Looking forward to it!

looks good to me, and whatever entry everyone else likes is fine by me.

BTW: how are we gonna handle it when we get down to 3 players on each bracket? Someone's gonna get a bye or what? How will that be determined, who gets a free round?

Also, plz excuse my ignorance, I've never played PS, you can make private tables, or is there always 1 empty table or ??

my main concern regarding the ppl left off was most haven't had a history on the board, and this tourney will not work if its plagued with no shows(my biggest fear regarding this)

so I included ppl I felt had a high likelyhood of showing up and playing it through

also the reason I went double elimination is that Swiss is effectively a double elim tourney(if you get 2 losses, you can't top8 most of the time, especially if the second loss happens before the final round, or if you lose opening round) but I felt many of the rounds after the second will begin to show disinterest on the players parts

if this goes well, and the desire is there I am very willing to run another one of these this summer sometime, my suggestion to all those left off, please make an agressive effort to contribute to the forums ..

I'm in if you still want me. I don't have Windows installed right now (long story) so I can't play poker for a few more days, but hopefully will be able to play soon.
