Are you folding to a turn 3-bet?

I like it, especially if we can get BB out.

No, but I'd drop a few f-bombs. But seriously, pot would be 12-1 and I don't think a set would lead the flop like that.

I'm not saying it is. It felt right, because, my hand was strong enough to see a SD and I wanted to charge any drawing hands the most I could. It was likely that at least one of my opponents was on a pure draw.

oh i see, so it's more like a value raise

i didn't really understand why the raise just from reading the hand

Did you consider just raising the flop?

Re: free showdown play

I was afraid that just raising the flop would look to much like AK or AJ and it'd set me up for a turn donk or a turn check raise.

Good point.

Re: free showdown play

What range of hands do you put UTG on here? Are we really ahead of a tight passive that bets this flop against 2 opponents?

I don't like it that much, what are the odds on effectively seeing the showdown using this play?

Are you hoping he is betting 99/KT or a draw?

True

Re: free showdown play

True,

I can safely fold to any river donk or a re-raise. I think the only question is when to raise, not if? I vote for a flop raise, turn bet, river check.

Re: free showdown play

If you raise flop and get 3-bet, this is an easy fold from tight passive I assume?

Wouldn't this be a much safer play against a tight passive because they aren't 3-betting lightly. If he donks the turn you can then fold?

True
