AC daily tournaments feedback?

Would like some feedback about the daily tournaments that run in AC.

Specifically, i am looking for buyins of $100 to $500.

I know Taj, Trop and borgata run these regularly, but don't know details.

Typical size of the field....level of opponents...atmosphere...food?

Any feedback to help me plan my trip...

All of the casinos have websites that detail their tournament schedule.

The blinds rise quickly. Play accordingly.

Do NOT play at Bally's. Their tournament structure is horrible - they try to lure you in by saying you'll get more play since there are no antes. While it is true that they don't have antes, their blinds rise astronomically, and it becomes a push-fest after the first break.

The room also allows smoking, which makes it quite nasty to be there if you're a non-smoker.

I personally think that the Taj's tournaments have both the best structure and are run most efficiently.

There is no smoking at the tournament tables, only ring games

Played the Borgata Sunday Nite yesterday. Nice tournament.

Absolutely decent structure, t5,000 to start (freeze out), 25 min levels, starting at t25/t50.

$85 + $15 buy-in, 76 players, very mixed field including clue-less newbs and WSOP veterans. Approximately 20% female players, generally a pleasant cheerful spirit, decently dressed and not smelly opponents (which matters to me). A good age mix, I felt neither too young or too old (I'm 46). Not too many out-of-line celebrations, not to many nasty comments when someone sucked out.

To comparison I played the Taj's Saturday night tourney half a year ago and found the ambience to be somewhat less than playful, odorless or pleasant there.

A couple of the dealers was truly top of the line, a couple in the other end of the range, but the TD seemed to know what he was doing.

Ended after 6 hours chopping 4-way for $1,300. I'll definitively play again.

Best,

McMelchior (Johan)

I've played the Harrah's Tuesday 100+20 a few times. They usually get between 30-40 players. You get 5,000 in chips with 20 minute levels if I remember correctly.

Durs.
