Flopped nut flush, in position, being bet into... line?

You post in LP and get A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Only the BB and an early limper and you go to the flop.

Flop is

T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB bets, limper calls, hero .... ??

The question is between raising and calling obviously.

If you call the BB might bet out again and limper comes along, then you bump it up.

Or you can raise now and probably get 2 more SB into the pot immediately, but alert them to the flush...

thoughts?

Very read dependant. What are the stats on these guys?

First hand at the table, thus the posting in LP, no stats at all.

Raise now. If BB flopped a flush, you can go to war while limper is trapped. If another club falls, it will kill your action. Just take their money now.

Fastplay is still the new slowplay. I raise.

Am I smelling a bad beat post?

Raise it. You would be raising with just the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] as well so it isn't like your hand is playing face up.

I would think they would be very wary of the new guy at the table and treat your show of strength as a show of strength.

Since BB led at the pot, and he's new to you, there's reason to believe he'll lead at the turn (unless there's another club). I smooth call this and bet/raise the turn.

I raise. If three bet, then you can smooth call.

Nope no bad beat here, I called the flop bet, and as desired BB led out again, limper called, then I popped it up, both called.

Got another bet out of the limper the river.

It worked out THAT particular time, but I was hesitant in my initial flop call and was wondering what should be my future "standard" play in this somewhat rare situation IE very strong hand on the flop, in position, being bet into with callers in between.
