Quack Quack: Part Two

The Oregon Ducks are 9-1, ranked # 10, and will soon be 10-1 once we stomp the [censored] out of the lame Beavers.

Just wanted to blow my horn on this one because I predicted that the Ducks would go 10-1 back about week 4 of the college season.

Go Ducks.

What bowl does the 2nd team in the Pac10 go to if they don't get a BCS bid? Holiday?

Probably the Holiday bowl, yes. Usually #2 Pac-10 vs. #3 Big-12; Dec. 29 in San Diego. Depending on the BCS, The Ducks may get a Fiesta Bowl bid but I really doubt it. Too many things would have to go perfectly for that to happen.

But the Ducks only lost one game, to USC, this season (if they beat the Beavers and they are almost a lock to do so, a home game and all) and that is something to be proud of. Especially after they lost their quaterback for the season. Clemens may be able to play in a bowl game but that is still a question mark.

PS Bowl bid may also depend on how well UCLA does also. Much will be determined this weekend.

Hellz yeah. Anyone here from Eugene? I moved here 2 years ago when my old lady started at the U.

I grew up 60 miles south of there in a small town called Sutherlin. I lived in Eugene for 5 years while I was a student there (stayed there in the summer as well). Since Eugene is the nearest reasonably sized town we often went up there shopping as well as 6 Saturdays in the fall so I'm quite familiar with it.

They are playing the Beavers? I predict this will be Caltech's biggest win since '77. Go Beavers!

Wow. The Ducks will kill whoever is #3 from the B12. I may just bet all Pac-10 teams in their bowl games regardless of matchup.

It's too bad there's no way to get the Holiday Bowl moved to Jan. 1. It might not feel like such a let down then (which it shouldn't) For team quality it should theoretically only be behind the BCS bowls and Cotton and about even with the Capitol One. Being on Jan. 1 just makes the other bowls feel bigger.
