Multi-tabling strategy/on-screen logistics?

All multi-tabling bonus whores--what do you find to be the best long-term way to multi-table on different sites without hurting your eyes or missing an action, etc.

I've got a 19 inch CRT and want to get to 4 tabling (and couldn't imagine 8-tabling). I have to start on interpoker, and I'm not sure how good it is about calling up the screens where action is necessary. Also IIRC, the windows that need action don't flash, and the timeout is pretty short, too. I tried 1600x1200 but it got to me pretty quickly as the cards are very small.

Just looking for suggestions, and if they differ for different programs.

Thanks.

From what I recall, Interpoker does not call up the screens that have action, I think it just makes that beep noise. I suggest either getting used to 1600x1200 or:

1. Buy a Dell 2001 FP monitor or a 20" CRT if you can't afford that
2. Play all 4 tables 6-handed as this will give you the training necessary to become a multi-table master

I believe most people who 6-8 table use two monitors and anyone who multi-tables at all uses 1600x1200 resolution. You will get used to it...

Believe it or not I 4 tabled using 1024 X 768 on my 15 inch LCD forever before kicking up to even 1280 X 1024 (which was pretty much a waste lol). Next step is the dell monitor and using the current 1280 X 1024 I have as a secondary monitor.

I think if you can 4 table on a 1024 X 768, than you'll have NO problems at 1600 X 1200 LOL !!!! Cascading is so purdy

Which sites bring the screen up when it's your action and which don't?

I use the F hot keys on pokerroom, and I would hate to be in the process of calling a bet on one screen, only to have the other pop up on my NL table inducing an all-in call while holding 7-2 o/s...

However, I've already made a few similar mistakes as the check/call buttons are one in the same at pokerroom and can change in an instance. Both the hot keys, as well as the mouse click area... one second it will say check, the moment someone raises it turns to call... Pretty idiotic design to say the least.

Pretty much all the sites bring up the table that action is at. Every single on that I've played at does. This includes all the Crypto sites like Interpoker. Note that sometimes the tables don't pop up for various reasons on any site so you have to be alert to the blinking and sounds that occur also. I 4 table using 1152X864 and line the tables up from upper left to lower right. This makes it so you never have a screen pop up and you end up pushing the wrong button. This has worked pretty good so far, and the icons are still large enough to not be too much of a problem.
