Letting Go

55. Opponent solid T1800. His AA lost to TT, but then he tripled up with AJ vs KK vs QQ. I haven't played a hand T1000. Blinds 15-30.

In EP2 he raises to 125. I, with QQ, call. Everyone else folds.

Would I have done better to reraise here to get a better idea where I was? Presuming AA & KK will raise again, whilst AK & anything else will simply call.

Flop comes 44Tr. Opp checks. I bet out 170. Opp raises to 400. I fold. Too weak?

Very weak, move in quickly. You have beat him way too often. He could have any pair(well hopefully not 1010), as well as AK . Calling is fine pre-flop, it's too early to move in here, but I wouldn't Re-raise off 1/3 of my stack either.

I like a reraise preflop. If you don't, I like a checkraise on the flop.

Please tell me how the hero is supposed to check-raise the flop in position.

My bad. I like the bet on the flop.

Re: Letting Go

no way am i letting this go. i push. u fear 2 hands only. yes he is utg and throws out a sizable raise, but given his prior table action, he could be playing a much wider range of hands here. i push. if he has aces or kings, he has aces or kings.

IMHO, in these sng's you will have to gamble at some point. i like the overpair here and i push.

Also, depending on his level, foe may be confused by the smooth preflop call, thinking queens reraises here. i like the play, cept the fold.

what type of hand do you put him on that he would raise to 125 in EP2 with the blinds at 15-30.

Based on this, sounds like villain will raise/call big raises with less than premium hands. I push.

Re: Letting Go

He probably has a mid pair or if you're lucky, JJ. This is a trivial push.

Awful!!! (not u, the play). I'm in PF and if not, I bet 2/3 pot on the flop and click all-in to any raise imaginable.
