I am in the middle of the most vicious downswing of my career.
 

Someone hold and comfort me.

I know to some of you guys this is one buy-in, but it's a lot to a college kid, and while I understand it as variance, the fact that my roaring tilt may have contributed to a couple buy-ins of the loss hurts.

I am down 11 buy-ins at NL200 in the last two days. I would attribute maybe 6 or 7 of them to variance and the rest to tilt. The variance was so bad. I thought I had seen it all while playing 40-50 SNGs a day when I was a SNG player. I was so wrong.

I just need someone to respond and tell me everyone goes on a roaring tilt fest in some time of their career :-P.

This is only my second month playing 6max ring games (or any ring games, period) so I am still learning.

Only 4 BB/100 though now! :-(

Oh and I am properly rolled, over-rolled even, so my roll isn't in danger, just my pride.

I'm going through a similiar thing at the 100 level.

I might end up having to drop back down to the 50NL until I regain my confidence.

Why the change from SnGs to NL?

I am still playing SnGs mostly but once in a while NL.

Quite frankly there is just more money to be made in NL cash games.

Going through a similar thing, except at omaha high low and I get bad beat worst than you. I have lost about 10 times to 1 outers including quads vs over full 3 times and ace high flush vs straight flush 3 times. Everytime they chase me to the river and hit their miracle.

Just move down for a bit to cool off, thats what im doing.

Seriously though, 30 buy-ins is ridiculous. Anything over 10 ranks among 'worst of my career.'

Dropping even two buyins due to suckouts can really piss me off... if you have hit 30 its got to be assisted by some serious tilt. Take a break and come back fresh.

I know it may sound bad but if you quit poker and ever think of starting up again check out "zen and the art of poker" (not to promote or anything) but it has helped my "tilt" pressence lower to 1/5th of what it used to be.
