But they'e suited.

I've got pot odds (but not implied odds).

They knew I had nothing (and they call with 63o).

They can't help themselves.

They want to gamble.

They're pissed off at someone (spite).

Because XXXX site is rigged and the draw/undepair/undercards always win.

Because they just plain suck.

I think this covers most of it. I assume you're talking about unintelligent play, since we make our plays for a reason.

Ugh. Don't make me do the hand converter thing. I hate it.

Busted out when I pushed with trash from SB 4 times and twice from CO. 4 times with 5 of us to go and twice on the bubble. I haven't given up on MJ yet though. The 2+2 thread on the piece was great too.

No, they are not. They are helping it. If you disagree with me, think of it this way. Is what they are doing helping or hurting their own equity? If it's hurting, it MUST be helping yours. For every time they screw you over, they screw over other players at the table, and this is good news.

This is only true in the long term if you think that the equity they cost themselves is being evenly distributed among all of the remaining players evenly. If you're pushing more than your fair share of those remaining players, which should probably be the case, you're going to be losing a fair amount of equity yourself, since you're up against somebody who is a little too loose. So I don't think it's the case that that guy is helping you, unless you adjust, which of course you can do.

It's very possible my friend was lying, but when he told me the story he told it as "my father".

My friend went to Harvard and he was a legacy, so that much is true at least.

Well, for one, I had a few cocktails last evening and I usually like to make drunken posts around here. For two, knowing how many of the typical fish around your level play is vital to your success. Many times some of the plays that we deem as "wrong" becuase we don't use them can still trick us and hurt our ev. I posted this in an effort to get some of these things out in the open.
