My Poker Bender
 

I had a goal for the summer money-wise, and I'm barely halfway there despite running good all summer, because I played like 5 hours a week.

so I'm basically done with work and going on a poker bender. anyone is free to join me. it will extend from Friday, August 12 until Sunday, August 27. if I play on Thursday night after class (9:30) then that counts too. the goal is to play 100 hours of limit hold'em. only 6 tables if 10/20 6-max, and 4 if anything higher.

that's about 6 hours a day.

as a token goal, I'd like to make $30,000 including rakeback, which would land me at my goal for the summer, and play 50,000 hands. I'll give periodic updates and post a bunch of hands I played particularly well, played like [censored], or are just interesting or made me think. that'll be my only posting over that period. I don't think I'll end up playing more than 50 hours but we can all dream, can't we? for live hours, it'll be hours/3. it works out to like 6 hours a day.

Sounds fun! If I weren't mega-busy right now with work (too much posting on 2+2 the last few weeks), and about to go on vacation, I would totally join in. Good luck with it.

Don't forget to kick ass in HULA. Team HUSH is 3-0 for week 2.

I also really need to do something like this, and I should have a lot of time to play over the next couple weeks. I'm only going for 50 hours 2 tabling, but I'll probably struggle to pull that off.

doing something similar already. doing about 6 hours a day for the last 3 days and not stopping for another 11.

i too need to get in more hands. my bankroll has actually shrank this summer because of a really bad run at tournaments and two weeks in vegas.

i can't play 50k hands -- but i think an aim of 30k for me will be good (3-4 tablign 5/10 6-max.) so yeah, i'd like to join you.

My goal is 25K hands by the end of August all @ EP & hopefully 2/100= win rate or better at 5/10.

i'll join you starting on the 20th. i played probably under 15 hours in july and i haven't played at all in august. i hate myself.

school starts the 22nd, but that shouldn't be a problem [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img].
