Mid stakes HU matches official sign up

Ok, so the main details are for these matchups to cost 300$ We will use the payout structure outlined in the other thread. Unless there is major problems, these deatilas will not change.

The matches will start whenever the 2 people can agree to play them. I dont think we can organise and get everything running for another week so this may only start in january, but most people are partially away until then so that shouldnt be a problem.

Well organise who holds the money later, but I said I would be willing to hold part of it, and hopefully, we can get a respected high stakes player to help out in that department since im sure that would make more people comfortable.

Structure
The structure will be the same as the high stakes HU tourney, with both players being able to reload up to 3000 chips. I would prefer both players simply start out with 3000 (easy to do on prima HU play money tables) but wtv works for both players is fine.

To sign up:

The first 32 people who PM me will be considered as entered.
Since Im sure that some people will PM me, then cancel, ill take as many entries as possible. It will be on a first come first serve basis. If you are #33 to PM me, you are the first alternate if someone doesnt come through.

I hope this works out guys. - Ahnuld

Getting people to PM you and sign up is not hard; getting people to actually put up the cash is where there will be issues.

Update

Pk, so I have 32 people who reserved their spots, and so far we have 4 alternates, who im sure will get in as people invarianbly pull out. If you still want in and havnt PMed me, give me a shout as im sure the next few alternate spots will still get in.

Now the difficult part comes in, collecting the money. Im not sure how you guys wanna work it so lets hear some ideas. Im good with a few players holding the money, and im going to try to get a high stakes player to hold some or all of the cash if they would be willing, but that would be very kind of them since collecting and dunning can be a pain in the ass job.

Ya, looks like ur right, so then Pottie is in and everyone mores up the alternate list 1 spot.

Re: List of players so far

We may be getting a respected High stakes player to help out and play. In exchange for helping out with the money, I told him I would give him the first alternate spot (which will surely be used). I hope this is ok with everyone. I dont wanna bump people just becuase he is a high stakes player, but we could use his help.

Sign me up.(I guess as an alternate as this point)

How many alternates are there right now?

Re: List of players so far

i'm ok with high stakes player holding the money, but i'm also ok with like 4 people in the tourney holding the money...

from that list i feel ok with Bobbo, aggie, yvesaint, and ahnuld holding the money...i'll hold some if people want/feel ok with me too.

Big_Jim 12-20-2005 06:18 PM

Re: Update

I'm not terribly worried about who holds the money.

I would be willing to hold some if people want, but tdomeski's list is fine, if people are comfortable with it.

On another note, we should probably copy HSNL and use that Bracketmaker software and take side bets.

aggie 12-20-2005 07:23 PM

Re: Update

I'm not worried about the money either...Let's go with 4 people holding it. Whoever y'all want. Ahnuld, would it be possible for you to make lists of who owes who? It would be nice if we could collect money over the next couple of weeks so we can get this thing started in early january.

We should hold off on making brackets until all the money is collected but i agree we should use bracketmaker and do side bets. The bracket needs to be random but i'll trust whoever volunteers to do that. (and i'll randomly create brackets if you want).

Money transfer

Good news, AZK has agreed to help us out. I figure hes a top mod on this site, so ppl would feel the most comfortable with him holding the money.

For all those that are in the tournament, please send AZK a PM on 2+2 with your username and your stars username. You can then transfer the 300 to his account on stars ( akestler) and hell tell me who has paid and who hasnt. Everyone one the above list should send AZK their money ASAP. I figure well give you a week, then you will be taken off the list and an alternate will take your place.

If you cant transfer on stars, I have an account on prima, and we could do that transfer there, or on party. If there are any questions, PM me.

ahnuld 12-20-2005 07:49 PM

Re: Money transfer

you guys can also send your money to fsuplayer on stars. However it might be easier if we keep it to one person. I really really dont think we have anything to worry about anyways. I sent my money, as did yvesaint and aggie. PM me too after you sent azk the money. If there are any problems, ill let you know.

tdomeski 12-20-2005 08:04 PM

Re: Money transfer

money sent to AZK...what site are we playing this on? are we using the same set up on Stars as the HSHU tourney?

Slappz 12-20-2005 08:07 PM

Re: Money transfer

Are we just doing stars transfers or can we use another site?

tdomeski 12-20-2005 08:09 PM

Re: Money transfer

also will the seeding/matchups be randomly generated?
