tpgk vs river checkraise

Helloooo... comments, particularly on the river play, would be much appreciated.

villain has vpip of ~90% with pfr of ~60% but is a bit more passive on later streets. My initial instinct was to check this river down, but was tempted into value betting by the relatively drawless board and villains overall loose play.

When I get checkraised im pretty sure im beat but feel inclined to call getting ~ 3/1.

Fold the river. You're beat.

your right, I was beat -villain had 62o -but what kind of pot odds should I be looking at in order to make calling in this sort of situation ok? .........

Re: tpgk vs river checkraise

First of all I wouldn't value bet this river. Remember that you must win more than 50% of the time when you are called to make a value bet! (re-read Theory of Poker by Sklansky if you are not familiar with this concept. But once you've bet it and he's raised I'd fold (no matter what the raise)... you could argue that it might be +ev to call a minraise against a maniac... but noway I'd call $17 more.
