c/c or bet/fold with A when board is double paired?

Villain's stats are 42/6/.88 over about 70 hands.

4-handed. I raise from co with A7o. Button calls. Blinds fold.

Flop: KK6. I bet, villain calls.
Turn: 6. I bet, villain calls.
River: 8. I c/c.

Was the river a mistake?

I don't see villain calling a bet from you with a worse hand (Q high). Unless you have a read that says otherwise.

Other Ace highs are probably calling the river but that doesn't give you any value.

PP's like 77 will call, and will probably bet the river if checked too (majority of the time).

There's a very small chance that the villain is slowplaying.

Checking might induce a bluff from a worse hand, although that is also very unlikely due to his aggression.

So overall, I don't think it makes too much of a difference. Although I think check/calling is maybe slightly better.

This is where WTSD is really handy to have.

I'd probably bet/fold. I don't see an A that's been playing this passively raising you, and I think any fold equity you might have makes up for the percentage of the time pocket pairs are calling.

Standard.

Then again, I've been value called by pocket 2's here at 10/20, so what do I know.

You have zero fold equity though.
