Rake at 3/6

How long did alot of you guys play 3/6 before taking a shot at 5/10? I've played over 25k hands at 3/6 as a slight winner (.89 bb/100). Needless to say, I'm not super excited about the results, but it could be worse. I'm about 20/15 during the stretch. Could the higher rake at 3/6 be affecting my winrate that much? Any thoughts, comments, hands you've seen me play and want to comment on?

Thanks

25K is a small sample. You could be a 3BB/100 winner or a losing player.

This isn't bad. Probably a little tight. Likely you need to work on you're post flop game more.

Simply, no.

I would post more and read more about the game. I'd play more at 3/6 before I thought about moving up. You don't have to do 90k like I did, but you shouldn't move up until you're confident that you can beat the level you're already at by a sigificant amount.

Do you feel you are running not great or do you feel you are outplayed a lot of times?
If it is not the latter then depending on your bankroll you can take a shot at 5/10.
I play mainly at Prima but from what Ive seen at Party, 5/10 is not any different to 3/6. Maybe better if you can play the LAGs.

To tell the truth, it doesnt feel like I'm getting outplayed, but I dont think I can be sure. I try to pay attention to the people with decent stats and not battle with them out of position with marginal hands.

So, 20/15 is a little tight? Lol, sometimes I feel like I'm lagging it up to be there!

Its just frustrating to see that Ive paid almost 2 and a half times as much rake as I've won! Grr...

I just moved to 5/10 last week. The rake at 5/10 is like .05 BB less than 3/6.

5/10 is a little tougher than 3/6. The overall aggression is higher but it's still donktastic.

I wish they had had 3/6 when I was learning 6-max.

So, 20/15 is a little tight

If you weren't even aware that 20/15 was a little bit tight-ish then I would start with that.

The reason your win-rate isn't spectacular is because you just don't know this particular game well enough.

I suspect your post-game play as leaks that you are completely unaware of also.

The rake IS a factor...but it's not to blame here. Your play needs to improve.
