($16) KQs versus action
No reads on any of the players. Preflop, I am not folding to a minbet. I called the flop because KJ/KT are probably firing out that bet but on the turn I convinced myself he had flopped a set. AK is a possibility I suppose but I figured AK is most likely re-raising preflop to get the pot HU.
Should I re-raise the flop? Re: ($16) KQs versus action
That dinky little flop bet is how I often play a set on a non-coordinated board. I think I would have raised his flop bet, and folded if he re-raised or if he called and lead at the turn. (Also put the breaks on if the original raiser plays with your flop raise.)

Close call. I don't mind the fold since sooo many people saw the flop and being in SB there you can't rule anything 2-pair out as well as the sets.

I felt like I was folding the best hand here a way too high % of the time since KJ could "value bet" this brick turn as well or he could have turned a flushdraw with kxs. [/ QUOTE ] In my first response, I just commented on how I would have played the flop. I forgot to mention that since you called the flop, I think your laydown on the turn is good. SB represented a pair of K's or better with his flop bet, and two players behind you also called with a completely uncoordinated board. Despite the calls on his flop bet, he fired another barrel on the turn. I'm almost certain you're behind at least one of the remaining players. |

I'm almost certain you're behind at least one of the remaining players. [/ QUOTE ] Preflop: Mandatory call. Flop: I might re-raise the flop bet to something like 300 and fold if re-raised. Turn: If you are still around and your flop bet didn't take it down, I'm checkng behind and folding to a bet. Your call on the flop was fine and then folding to the bet on the turn is good as well. I just would have taken the re-raise line on the flop and then slowed down to a sign of strength. |
