best book for a stud noob.

The Omaha players at Caesar's IN often want to play a split game of Omaha/8 and 7 card stud Hi/Low. I have never played a hand of 7 card stud in my life and don't really care to become a stud player but I hate being the guy that won't play when they want to change the Omaha game to a split game.

which book do I need to get me ready for Ray Zee's book? I already own it but have not read the first half about 7 card stud Hi/low split games.

Should I just read it and not worry about a basic 7 card stud book?

Basically yes I could imagine, there isn't much around about 7cs H/L, so there is Ray and then there is Todd Brunsons bit in Supersystem II ... both are praised in the 7cs forum FAQ

Stud noob?? We'll accept the noob part. We need references for the stud part.

Todd Brunson's Stud/8 section in SSII is a good place to start.

I actually considered a career in male prositution but I found out that you had to charge by the inch and I couldn't stand the short pay.

I think this belongs in the short-handed forum.

Also, check here for some articles on Stud/8 strategy.

zee's book is really the only good book for stud/8, 7csfap wouldn't be a bad foundation though. I think the stud forum FAQ has some good begginer suggestions. There have been some good threads in that forum in the past as well, check the archives.
