3/6: Call-CR Blind Defense with AQ

I haven't seen much from UTG. He's a bit LAGy so far.

PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls.

This thread is not intended to be a debate on the merits of the call-CR strategy of blind defense. It assumes the strategy is neutral EV vs 3-betting and leading the flop. It's meant to discuss the post flop effects of this strategy and how to properly play post flop given the PF action. There is an extensive discussion of the merits of this strategy here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...e=2#Post4225972

I wouldnt be too happy when he raises the turn. You capped the flop and he still isnt slowing down. I guess he could have KQ, but there isnt much else that we can beat. I wouldve called down after the turn raise.

youre behind a range of AQ-KQ, AA-QQ, 99. i dont think one pair raises u on the turn all that often either

I'd slow down a bit unless I had a read that he's way agg. with less than tp. He's betting like he doesn't care you have a queen. KQ's gonna slow down on the turn after you cap and lead so why three-bet the turn?

Your confused, Hero has TPTK with AQ

Re: 3/6: Call-CR Blind Defense with AQ

He's a bit LAGy. He 3-bet me on one flop with second pair after I'd 3-bet him PF. I think his range is wider then AQ-KQ, AA-QQ, 99.
