An Arguement
Please help settle this arguement. I just sat down at the table and am wondering about river raise.

Re: An Arguement
What are you wondering about...you likely have the best hand and you like money right?
Did you mean to include some river action in your post? I guess you could have check called the flop and bet the turn intending to 3-bet if you somehow knew the 9 would come...but that seems a bit impractical. |
Re: An Arguement
So you think it's a clear-cut bet on the river? And what happens if he reraises me?
|
Re: An Arguement
the only reason you wouldn't bet that river was so you could checkraise it. Bet/call.

Re: An Arguement
Thanks guys-I won the arguement against my newbish brother. I raised, he reraised, I called. Ended up having 46.

[/ QUOTE ] You raised or you bet...? unless you are leaving out some of the action the first person to put money in the pot on a given street is said to "bet." You can only "raise" after soemone else has already bet. You know this right? |
Re: An Arguement
Yeah I do. I bet the river.
|
Re: An Arguement
what about a flop 3-bet?
|
Re: An Arguement
bet/call. I would also 3bet the flop.
