Harrington on Holdem vol. I & II

I've heard this series of books is really good. Anyone agree or disagree?

Does it matter which book to start with? Is one better than the other? I want to read the best first and only buy the other if I like the first one I read.

Thanks

I bought them both.. Its worth it. I'm actually browing through HOH2 as we speak. I like it them alot better than the Theory of Poker.

So you wouldn't say one is better than the other? Just start with the first one?

If it matters, I've read Sklansky's TPFAP, TJ Cloutier No limit, Super System and a few others.

You should read both in order. Understanding the information in volume I will help you learn the concepts in volume II. Volume II is mostly end game strategy.

Start with the first. It covers topics you will see much more often. The second book covers a lot of concepts that only apply to short handed play while referencing everything from the first book.

Excellent books and I cant recommend them enough.

Awesome! Thanks all for the info. Just scored both on ebay + McEvoy's Tournament Poker, Sklansky TPFAP(which I already have).

All 4 for only $42! If anyone needs the Sklansky book, PM me.

HOH 1&2 are the two best NL hold em books available IMO. McEvoy's book will be quite a letdown after you read those two.
