Overuse of \"Fish\"+you are not that great at poker so get over yourself
 

It is starting to bug me.

People make posts saying "What are the fish like in XXX casino?" or "Is Stars as fishy as Party" or stupid [censored] like "I feel bad taking money from the fish because they have no shot against me.

1. You sound like a stupid poserboy WPT wannabe loser when every post you make has the word "fish" in it.

2. With the exception of a few dozen posters out of the 40,000 on this site, you are not that [censored] good at poker. Get a reality check. A braindead grandmother can beat the party 1/2, you are not [censored] doyle brunson or spirit rock or James282 or bicyclekick (unless you are).

You are correct.

I am not great at poker, but I am reasonably good.
I am a consistent winner from $1/2 6max to $3/6 full ring.

So am not a fish at the levels I play.

If I moved up a few levels........

james loses to me in NL [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] (according to my database...but has crushed me in the old 30/60 when we used to play on 4 of the 6 tables)

What I like are the posters who give the "fish" absolutely no credit for any poker knowledge or intelligence at all. It's like they've convinced themselves they're playing against tables full of retards, and if the retards happen to beat them, it's always that the fish was lucky, not that he was playing well.

My favorite "fish" moment was a large man at a 10/20 game at the borg. wearing "Why are you wearing sunglasses at a 3/6 game?" t-shirt....while wearing sunglasses...

There needs to be a word for competent, but not anywhere near professional, poker players like myself.

If bad players are fish and pros are sharks, then maybe I can be a turtle. That sounds pretty pussyish though. Stingray? No, that's lame. I got nothing here.
