Flopped trips with suited connectors. 2 Deepstacks.

This hand was unreal. I'd love any advice and input on how it played out.

Thanks.

Edit: Not much of a read on the Villian, except that he seems like a good player. He's been sitting on big stacks and doesn't say much. I had to fold my aces to him on the river in an earlier pot.

Do you always call a raise with suited medium one-gappers?

As played, line looks standard. I'm going to take a stab at ... 44?

I do to, at least when the stacks get deeper. I want hands that are better disguised to play large pots with when it's deep. 86s looks fine to me on the button when the raise came from the HiJack in a 7 handed game.

As for the hand, it looks fine. I figure he had pocket 9's and let you hang yourself after you raised him on the flop.

I probably call that river bet....I definitely don't raise it....what's he calling your flop raise and turn bet with...he obviously has something...although since he raised i'd think his most likely holding is 99. You say he's a good player so I'd be afraid of that river bet....it's not small enough to be a blocker, this is a bet for value and he's pretty sure you have a 6 and will call. If you are really lucky he's overplaying KK or AA but I doubt it.

Why are you raising the river? If Villian is really as soild as you seem to think, it seems like he is only going to call with a better hand. His call on the flop also worries me. I think an arguement can be made for checking the turn, but that might be a little bit too tight weak.

I agree with Skuzzy. In fact, I meant to praise the OP for creative pre-flop play. When stacks get deep, it's time to play poker. Down with the nits!

Looks like nines-full to me. But since you said the hand was unreal, i'm guessing 75s or 33.

Re: Flopped trips with suited connectors. 2 Deepstacks.

I'd like to throw this in....when you have a "decent" player that's called a flop checkraise, check/called a turn, then leads at the river like this...i'd think you are behind a significant amount of the time. I think he's not all that decent because he was lucky to get the money in here if he does in fact have 99 the way he played this hand. However, these largish river bets after playing the hand passively are almost always the nuts or near nuts that are scared to death you are going to check that river....There is no way I raise here.
