Have to call t205 for a t945 pot (4.5:1 odds). However, I'm out of position. Also hand previous to this, my 88 flopped a full house (6,6,8). (Slowplayed that to double up when an Ace hits the turn.)

Easy call with pot odds?
Fold and wait for position?
Re-raise?

Was Preflop bet too much? (This was a laggy table not respectinag any raises.)

I would say that button and CO have either low-medium pockets, or unpaired high cards, probably AJ,AQ,KQ. You would probably get a re raise if they had QQ or better. I would re raise all in here to try to elimate positional disadvantage post-flop.

All in. This is the perfect opportunity to advertise a little bit and you may even be ahead. I don't expect the button to come along. So you isolate MP3 and get to showdown for cheap w/ good odds. If button does come along don't be too surprised if he and MP3 hold each others cards.

Sure this flies in the face of survival, but survival is over rated. Am I completely wrong? Why?

Well, I'm guessing you don't want to lay down top set (and you shouldn't). Me? I'm still taking this to the felt, obviouslly now I can not feel as good about it. I push and put him to the decision if he has an over pair or the ace of spades. If he already has the flush so be it, you still have a very live redraw.

I guess I didn't mention it before but one of the biggest reasons you push there preflop is so you don't have to face a situation like this post flop.

I assume it didn't work out for you since you brought it up, but (I think) these are the edges one must push consistantly to get into the running. It's still very early, losing here doesn't kill you.

If you folded please don't tell me, I'm sad enough already today as it is.

I'm torn between HOH's 1/2 to 2/3 pot bets philosophy and being more aggressive to protect my hands. Just wanted some feedback from the trouts to see how they would have played this.

I would push here preflop every time. You will likely get it heads up with overs (you will be a 4:1 favorite nearly as often as a 4:1 dog) and there is a ton of overlay. The CO and Button have told you a ton about their hands by not reraising. I don't want to play this out of position postflop with a dry side pot.
