How much to tip a florist?

I just got a phone call from a florist looking for my house, how much of a tip is standard with a florist?

I'm so glad you posted this. It's been what, weeks, since a good tipping thread?

I hate to start a tipping thread, but I am not a normal receiver of flowers and have no idea how much to give them.

i tip everyone, and i wouldn't tip the florist in this case. someone sent you flowers, correct? you are receiving a gift. this would be like tipping the UPS guy for 1 random package delivery that was a gift from a friend. you should not pay juice on this.

It seems wrong that you should be obligated to tip the delivery person when someone sends you flowers. I would tip if I ordered them to my own house for my girlfriend/wife or whatever, but not if they were given to me by someone else.

Tipping someone for delivering flowers seems a little strange to me, too.
