I hate Kings...a couple of reasons

Reason #1:

UTG+1 who folded claimed to have folded QQ:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

UTG+1 ($390)
UTG+2 ($448.40)
MP1 ($476.70)
MP2 ($125.80)
Garland ($441.10)
CO ($323)
Button ($155.10)
SB ($375.60)
BB ($183.20)
UTG ($533.93)

Preflop: Garland is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $2.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to $12</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $30</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Garland raises to $90</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls $60.

Flop: ($198) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
MP1 checks, Garland checks.

Turn: ($198) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets $150</font>, Garland calls $150.

River: ($498) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets $201</font>,<font color="#CC3333"> Garland raises $201.10 (All-In)</font>, MP1 calls $0.10.

Final Pot: $900.20

MP1 has Ad Ah (two pair, aces and eights).
Garland has Kh Kc (two pair, kings and eights).
Outcome: MP1 wins $900.20.

Reason #2:

BB just sat down.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

UTG+1 ($319.25)
UTG+2 ($499.20)
MP1 ($367)
MP2 ($583.80)
MP3 ($864.15)
CO ($719.10)
Button ($472.55)
SB ($294)
BB ($600)
Garland ($830.40)

Preflop: Garland is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $3.
Garland calls $6, UTG+1 calls $6, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, Button calls $6, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $19</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Garland raises to $75</font>, UTG+1 folds, Button folds, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises $600 (All-In)</font>, Garland folds.

For #2, I think that instead of hating Kings, you should learn to hate limp-raising with them.

Just a thought.

I'm not so sure I fold number two.

Re: I hate Kings...a couple of reasons

There is a typo as BB initially raised to $25 and I reraised to $75. I don't know if that makes any difference or not.

Not so sure? It's either "I would have called it" or "I would have folded it too". There's no additional evidence for our newly minted BB.

To me, when someone first sits down, I'm going to treat them like they are sane until otherwise proven wrong.

How fast he raised each time, his screen name, where he is from. Not much, but if anything gives me a gut feeling one way or the other I will go with it.

Its tough enough to fold kings vs a solid nit, folding so easily vs an unknown who could just be making an image play on his first hand seems a bit weak.

I probably call that greater than 80% of the time.
