If you sign up for one of these $1 offers that plans on charging you $39.95 a month in the future

hahahahah you watch porn hahahahaha

LOL, well, you're right, I do. But I was actually referring to the offers that you have to sign up for to get your completed offer for this iPod business.

Back to the porn... there are places to get member passwords for free. No need to spend $ on that.

So basically we could find groups of 8 or 10 people all looking for the same prize, and all of whom are doing 1 thing for 1 other person, which in the end, would net 8 people 8 things.

[/ QUOTE ]

Lets say we have 10 people in this, and it takes.. 8 referalls to get a thing, that's 80 referalls that we have to come up with. So er. i don't get how this would work. (but it sounded good last night, so i might just be tired)

Exit,
You could recycle the same person as a referral for any of the given gifts so 1 person goes for the free Ipod in Group A. All the members of Group A complete 1 referral thing for 1st person, 1st person gets Ipod. Only need 8 people for this. Now, 2nd person in Group A is going for free TV, all members of Group A complete 1 referral things for 2nd person including 1st person. 3rd person goes for different gift, xbox360 we'll say, everyone does the same thing, until each person in Group A has something. I would say it would take about 1-1.5 hours for each person to complete all these and get their free thing. Clarified?

I'm trying to figure this thing out. I just clicked on exit's link above and reading that it would seem 10 people could get one thing free each by signing up under each other's referral. For example, Person A gets a PS3 and Persons B-J sign up under the referral link from A. Person B wants a XBox360, so Person A and then C-J sign up under the referral link for B and they get an Xbox. This process continues with each person having the others in the group supply their referrals. The only catch is each person in your group would have to get a different item, it appears getting the same item for mulitple people is not possible.

As best I can tell, you can sign up for multiple items with different accounts but not for multiple accounts for the same item. Therfore, if I get a free PS3 I would not be able to serve as a referral for another person's PS3, but I could be a referral for an Xbox.

Am I reading this right? I'm all about getting some free toys.

justin, it can be done. i have done it. a cartel could do it, yes. it would take incredible organization, almost like a war-room. go for the best gift---a laptop usually. it will take about 4 months, start-to-finish. no matter how careful you are you will make mistakes and every one "runs" you. if everything went perfectly plan on spending about $150 on your "free" gift......bear

I don't quite know what the story is, I think in the end it's spam, right? like you 'refer' x people to a website (who then bombs them with spam) and you get a toy? And the plan is we would just refer each other??
Not quite clear, but if it doesn't involve annoying people or downloading suspect software or anything, I'm down for a project.

anyone coordinating this? I'm always up for free stuff...

has anyone else done the bonus stuff through an aggregator (I'm not sure If I can say mine or not, PM me if interested, I'll give you my referral). Basically, you collect points by doing a signup, meeting the raked hand bonus, then spend the points in the store.

I got my poker tracker this way, then I was saving for ipod, but just took best buy gift cards, 'cause my son and I are getting a new game system sometime soon. I have $200 in best buy gift cards (plus the poker tracker) and after bonuses, I think I'm out $30 according to my notes (and if I didn't suck at limit, I'd be ahead). I play mostly O/8 limit now, as I've found it's the best, low variance way to clear my raked hands req. I just multi table it and play strong hands only (playing only good starting hands (sweep possible) is 90% of limit 0/8 IMHO).

Anyway, PM me if we are still doing this thing.

discover newsgroups and a binary bot program.. not that I do this <Grin>, but I once knew a guy who ran a porn site. Most of his content was from running a program which downloaded every pic file from a list of newsgroups. You wouldn't believe how specific these things get. (look for a list of the alt.binaries.* newsgroups). And you wouldn't believe how much stuff there is. You could fill up your hard drive every day.

Re: Freeipods, FreeTVs, etc... not spam folks, looking for MTT thought

I don't know a ton about these "deals", but if each person need 8 referals, and we're all signing up for each other, that means each one of has to sign up for 8 deals. Thats a heck of alot of telemarketing and spam lists. Not to mention costs of signing up for 1 year memberships etc.

Now that you have signed up for all 8 of your deals, how sure are you that everyone will sign up for you? Who is going to make it through 2, and then quit before he gets to yours?

I don't want to be a buzzkill, but I really wouldn't attempt it unless I fully trusted everyone I worked with.

You don't get someting for nothing.

Re: Freeipods, FreeTVs, etc... not spam folks, looking for MTT thought

I wouldnt be doing it unless it was with respected posters from MTT. While there are some things that cost $4.99, some of the options are 'sign up and make a bid on ebay' which won't cost you anything in the end, and many are free 1 month trials and you can cancel them. I will look more into this to see if it is worth organizing.

Re: Freeipods, FreeTVs, etc... not spam folks, looking for MTT thought

This was really big in, like, every forum I ever posted in two years ago, but two things killed it:

1)You really do need eight/ten/twelve people that are going to actually complete all their offers, each with their own spamtrap mail account and ability to spend hours cancelling their 'free' [censored];

2)It's obnoxious as hell because somebody always gets stuck with the item no one wants, there's tons of drama involved if somebody else doesn't get their item, and there are 32774 message board posts by the time it's all over.

So basically, I'd be in except that you really need to take it offsite the minute you get a big enough list.

If anyone is actually serious about doing this, I'm willing to get with 5 other people and find 5 sites which each require 5 referrals, and complete them quickly. I've completed a few offers and from my experience it's pretty easy to cancel them. I'm more talking about getting 5 other people people just for us 6, not really the whole forum. If you are interested, PM me, and I'll take the first 5, if there's any interest. Please be at least 18 and willing to use a credit card.

Also, this is very possible and probably fairly easy. If Justin doesn't put something together, I will probably look into it myself.

Jurollo,

Why the hell is the moderator of MTT forum posting a spam referral scheme in the MTT forum? WTF is going on here?

PS: I am in if I get to pick which item I want first and be at the top of the pyramid. However, something tells me you had an idea as to who that would be, J.
