Is this play with KK ok?

I'm new to limit (coming from NL) and I'm not sure if this was standard or horrible or anything. I don't post my hands very often but the last hand I posted on these forums helped me a TON in my thought process based on the responses I got... So you guys might start seeing my "Is this hand ok" threads more often.

As always, comments are much appreciated (Reading your guys' thought process helps me so much)

Re: Is this play with KK ok?

Basically after all the action pf I guess that the ace scared me.... looking over the hand I think I should have realized he was weak on the turn and also bet the river.... but what would happen if he had 3 bet the flop? Would I have had to fold, expecting him to have atleast an ace, or call it down, or...?

I would have just called his bet on the flop. Is that a weak play considering the ace?

I think I could argue for just calling the flop bet.

Raise the turn to chase out those weak draws behind you.

Once you bet the turn and he just calls, what do you think he has? If he's aggressive enough to cap AK pre-flop I think he's going to put in more bets with it somewhere post flop.

In other words, once he puts his tail between his legs on the flop, and then again on the turn, I think you're winning. Bet the river. QQ and JJ will call.

Good point, I'd expect AK to be throwng in bets somewhere throughout the hand

you played it the 2+2 way, but you're probably toast.

Lance Cpl. Dawson: "Do you think we were right?"
Lt. Daniel Kaffee: "I think you lose."

Thanks a bunch for your comments... it always helps a lot.

Anyway I was shocked when the guy showed 77 and I took it.... although it is .05/.10 afterall

Well played. I play it the same way. I think the most shocking thing about this hand is that your flop raise caused the 3 players after you to fold.
