Please Miss can I goto the toilet?

Vital UN discussions world leaders around a table, Bush scribbles down urgently on a note and passes it to Ms Rice behind him. is it a confirmation of a new policy, a key unveiling of a new breakthrough in the fight against terorism being discussed no far more important than that....

“I think I may need a bathroom break? Is this possible.”

He probably had to go throw up after listening to Kofi.

If he just got up and left, it would have caused an international incident.

"Bush walks OUT on UN!"

A democrat wouldn't need a bathroom break. Being full of sh*t is intrinsic to them.

Democrats have been politcally constipated for so long, they no longer even feel the urge.

Getting back on topic.

Whats with Bush writing "I think I may need a bathroom break. Is that possible?". Kinda weak passive. Doesn't sound very presidential at all. He shoulda wrote something like, "Condi, I got a crap on deck that could choke a Donkey.....arrange a bathroom break now.....its squinchie"

And just to make sure that everybody knows...

The image is a fabrication and has been admitted as such by Reuters. If it has been produced as a satire it could well have been funny. But instead it was presented by a journalist and Reuters as actual news. It wasn't until Reuters was called out by several people that they admitted it was a fake.

Um. The image isn't a fabrication. And Reuters didn't admit it was. What Reuters did admit was that they used Photoshop to enhance the original photo to make it readable. Link.

To deflect attention from the note shown above, Bush has released his notes from the first debate last year:

And that article is different than the one I saw last night. More recent, so I guess that story stands now.

What I don't get is how someone who randomnly capitalizes words and uses the wrong punctuation can be President. If he were a poster on these forums he'd be dismissed as a retard.

He is already dismissed as a retard on this forum...Without the benefit of writing. Wouldn't be that much different.

I hate Bush, but this is a cheap shot, IMO. The man needs to go to the bathroom and doesn't want to violate protocol, so he asks the Secretary of State, makes sense to me. As far as the punctuation...my punctuation also goes south when my bladder is ready to burst.

The photo by Denver-based Rick Wilking, taken over a man's shoulder, shows an official -- identified in the caption as President Bush -- scribbling in pencil on a small white piece of paper that already contains the words: "I think I MAY NEED A BATHroom break?" It is unclear if Bush is in the process of responding to that message or wrote it himself.

The image is a fabrication.

What's telling is that people do not immediately discount this. It kinda has a probability of being true, significant enough to have Bush opponents giggling and Bush supporters worried ("Oh no, what now, George??" etc).

I do not think the picture is true. I think it is a well played hoax. (The weak-passive tone of the "note" is spot on!) But I also cannot think of many recent presidents for whom such a story would sound true.

A classic examination of the right wing echo chamber defense:

1) Deny

The picture is obviously a fabrication by the liberal leaning left wing pinko media establishment. Once this is proven false ...

2) SPIN

Obviously the President thinking quickly and wishing to avoid international incident, consulted with the Sec. of State over correct BATHroom procedures. BATHroom is a secret codewode that is used in matters involving National Security, first designed by Winston Churchill.

3) Deflect

Hey, John Kerry went windsurfing! Could you imagine what would have happened if the Evil Clinton was still in office?
