$22 - Heads up facing suspicious completion:

This guy has been pretty tight heads up. He either min raises when first to act, or just folds. His completion here seems odd to me. How's the line? Should I have put him all in preflop or is the way I played it ok? I fear that he has a monster here because of the limp completion.

What have you done to his min-raises? Have you come over the top of him on a lot of them, or just checked like you did here? If you'd been checking a lot, to me, this could indicate, not a monster, but that's he's decided he can complete and see a flop with a weaker hand. If you've come over the top of him a lot, then you might have something to worry about.

I probably put him all-in preflop. Or at the very least, I'll bet out when the ace hits. The only reasoning I can think of to check the flop when you hit the ace is to check raise, and heads up, against a tight player, I don't like the play so much, just bet out and push him with your top pair.

I still go all-in and see KQ etc. enough for this to be profitable, most people wouldn't think you had the ace the way you played it. I'd probably go all-in on the flop though.

Move in preflop or at least bet the flop!

I push preflop. It is natural to be suspicious, but I think the completion is still usually a weak hand. I wouldn't assume stregth without a better reason.

Having checked preflop, I don't think your play post flop is bad. I wouldn't check the flop earlier in the game, but HU I don't think you have to play this hand fast.

On HU when somebody completes to me for the first time, I always push If I have at least K high. No matter what he had done before.

If he completes again after that.. well, then I get suspicious.

I call really fast.

You've got top pair on a non-drawish board, heads up, with shallow stacks. You can't wait for the immortal nuts, shove it in.

Short stack is about 5 BBs. I push Ax P/F. Even if I didn't, I push TP on the flop.
