PT and rakeback

on the 'general info' tab on PT where it says 'total rake' is this (minus bonuses) your MGR? in other words, do you have to divide this number by the average players?

Re: PT and rakeback

Depends if you're getting rakeback (what you put in), or rake share (total rake / # of players)...

no, I pretty sure that PT calculates your rake as the rake taken out of pots that you won. If that is the case, then your MGR could be very different depending on how many pots you play (and win).

Re: PT and rakeback

Divide the rake by the average # of players to get the MGR you have paid. Then multiply that MGR by your rakeback %

This will be off by a 1 or 2% at the most

Re: PT and rakeback

Whoa, so rakeback is not the percentage of the money taken out of your pots, but rather, it is the rake from the entire table divided by the average number of players?!

Correct. Many people mistakenly assume that when they win a pot, they pay $X rake. Rake is calculated by dividing total rake by number of players dealt.

That figure is the amount of rake you've actually paid, which is usually different from how your rake back is calculated.

You want the "Game Notes" tab. There is another rake figure there that is calculated the same way. Take that figure and divide it by the average number of players at the tables and that is your MRG.

Hang on, lets clarify this.

On General Tab, your total rake, say you get a 30% rakeback, you take 30% of that total rake and that is how much your affiliate should pay you?

Many Thanks,
SDM

Re: PT and rakeback

No sorry, I didn't notice the reference to the general tab.

You need to go under The Game Notes section hit the "get all button" and then divide the rake by the average # of players then multiply by your rakeback %
