Some Future Essays Or Discussions
Here are a few things I might post on in the future (if I ever get around to it):
1) A Different, More Symbolic Take On Christianity (which does not require "miracles" per se, but nonetheless shows the love and forgiveness of God through the example of Jesus Christ--and also shows how we should treat others) 2) Why Common Arguments Against Religion Do Not Apply Against Buddhism (off the top of my head, I cannot think of even one argument against religion which I have read on this forum that applies against Buddhism. I haven't read every single post however). 3) Musings On Existence, Non-Existence, Consciousness, Beginnings and Ends (and perceptions of such) 4) Some Commonly Held Presumptions Which Are Perhaps Unfounded 5) A Few Taoistic Conjectures and Potential Implications 6) Two Arguments Against Eternal Nothingness The above list may, if desired, be used as food for thought in the meantime;-) |

2) Why Common Arguments Against Religion Do Not Apply Against Buddhism [/ QUOTE ] I think because Buddhism transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology, it covers both the natural and the spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity. The religion of Buddha has the capacity to change according to times, a quality which no other religion can claim to have. |
