Screen name change on Stars?
 

Does anyone know if it's possible to change your screen name on Poker Stars?

can not be done to my knowledge. i have asked support before and denied.

it sucks I/we can't change it but in one of the pre WPT events at the Bike last year a famous player at my table told me he indeed had more than 1 Stars account and that he was able to change his user ID.

yea everyone says you cant but I emailed them and asked and they changed it for me

There are very occasionally exceptions. This is rare though, I would imagine that 99% of requests are denied, and the 1% all have extremely good reasons.

Say you have a cyberstalker and are worried that he'll track down your stars account from this forum. If this doesnt fit with you, just get inventive (it does happen, and their support is the most helpful around, just get a little creative perhaps with a little white lie).

This is where im going when i next email them about it as its basicly my name and its been up on a few forum and my blog before.

I've previously read that you can create a Pokerstars.NET playmoney account, and then convert it to real money for a second account-- which accomplishes the same purpose I think.

They will need to be accomodating people changing their screenames, seeing as they allow Poker Edge and Poker Prophecy.
