spokane opera house seat help

first week of nov. i am going to see the lion king in spokane wash. i got the first row dead center seats. assured they were the best seats in the house. does anyone know if this is correct. as some times the front row is below the stage and isnt as good as some rows back.

any tips i might be missing.

ive never been to the spokane opera house but arent the best seats usually located around the 4th and 5th rows so you dont have to look upwards to see the people up on stage?

Mr. Zee,

My wife and I have been to the Opera House there for shows a couple of times. Haven't sat in the front row of course. From my recollection, the front row is far enough back behind the orchestra pit that the slight rise in the stage probably won't be an issue. I'd think they'll be great seats. Who told you that they were the best in the house, BTW, someone from the ticket office?

I'll ask the Mrs. tonight though, her memory is really good regarding those things.

Looking at the pictures of the theatre space, I would try to get back a few rows. The first row is definitely below the stage as well as being too close.

and...
Enjoy!

ask the misses as they remember that stuff better.

someone from the ticket office did say that but was questioned about the seats farther back, and said the front row was the best seats in the house. and wasnt lying but could possibly be mistaken or uninformed.

Wow, a question in OOT that my grandmother would know the exact answer to (opera buffs who used make the trip up to Spokane v. often).

OK, talked to my grandmother, which means that this is the advice of a woman in her late 80s who recently suffered a stroke that's done some work on her speech and memory.

With that caveat:

She said that being right up front would make it more difficult to hear everything, and that they typically sit dead center about 5-6 rows back.
