Poker Genie in home games

Can someone who has used Poker Genie in their home tournament give me an idea of how much easier it makes it to run your tournament? I'm thinking of getting one but want a testimonial from any 2+2er who has it and likes it (or dislikes it). Thank you!

I played one tourney with it and only problem was that the host did not know how to program it without antes, so we had two rounds of blinds at 100/200. Does anyone know if there is a way to program out the antes?

They work fine. As long as you don't want to change your structure up much you should like it. It's a pain to program at first but works great once it is programmed. I bought one because I didn't want to haul an expensive laptop around.

Yes, you can eliminate the antes, just enter 0 in the ante section for every round.

One possible drawback is that it does nothing for managing players or rebuys, if you want to track results you have to do it manually.

edit: you can get them from pokersourceonline, I think it only takes one "comp" room to get.
