Lay this down?

I'm a limit player attempting to learn a little about NL ring games. Should I have dropped this on the river?

I would fold preflop but otherwise play the hand the same

To be honest, I probably drop it on the turn.

first off limping KQo is not +EV IMO. i either fold preflop of open the pot. i like leading for pot, and i like your turn bet. once u r raised u need to make your decision. u cant call this min-raise and then fold getting 5-1 on the river. i like folding to the turn without a read. if i dont fold the turn i cant see why i would fold the river getting 5-1.

I fold KQo utg in general

Turn bet was 'ok'. I might bet $5 to get out the flush draws. as it was played, I call the min raise.

Def. check and decide to call river. His river bet was weak (or really milky), but I still think you take down the pot.

Re: Lay this down?

Try to see it from your opponent's point of view:

You did not show any weakness until the turn call. I want to make a small river bet so that a marginal hand will have to pay me off.

That's a basic concept in NL. Bet how much your opponent is willing to lose when you know you've got them beat.

Is your opponent sophisticated enough to make this basic play, or did he show weakness and is dying for you to bluff with your monster pair of queens?
