Turning Point in human history

Ok, trying to redeem myself.

What do you think is the most important turning point in human history and why?

Ediy:
Ok, too vague, I meant what has had the most dramatic effect on our world? Is it the Crusades (chrisitanity being dominant thus changing the course of history?)

Is it Founding of Rome (aka western civ.)

Something along these lines

This is still terrible! Throw out an example or something; this is huge. In terms of what? I can name some: fire, agriculture, metalworking, monotheistic religion, the steam engine, the electronic calculator, the A-bomb, The Pill; but this sort of thing is really just way too big to tackle.

I tried cutting him some slack by unbanning because I thought the initial post was just a newbie mistake. Clearly it's not working out and there is now an exile in place.

Lesson: Mercy sucks and I just need to go with my gut.

Anyhoo, it was the invention of the printing press. Do you see why?
