is this a bet/fold river situation?

Button is a tough player - 24/18. I've been watching him - no mistakes that I've seen and very straightforward. Given this read, how's my play (a) on the flop, and (b) on the river (can I bet/fold here?).

Thanks.

I certainly wouldn't laugh at you if you did.

Why would you bet/fold the river? I think the best you can hope for is a chop with AQ although there is a small chance he has AJ, either of which he'll bet anyway, and you don't want to risk folding the best hand to a raise.

I don't see what hands we would extract value from other than the 2 combos of AJs, which are probably betting the river anyway. Letting button bet will have a higher chance of UTG sticking around.

Thats a big pot to bet-fold in with a board like that and a hand like that

Folding here would be quite dumb. c/c and stop worrying about whether you might miss a bet on the river. if you want to donk the river that might be OK, just dont fold.

Re: is this a bet/fold river situation?

So we're behing villans: AK/AT, Ahead of AJ, and split with AQ.

We're ahead of everything else(99/JJ-KK).

So its more way ahead than behind right? So why does no one cap the flop?

You want him to continue with PPs, keep UTG around and you dont want to bet/fold river due to pot size and potentially folding the best hand?

But doesn't the turn getting checked through suck? 18PFR is fairly high so i assume he 99 Upwards(and maybe some A9s? etc).

Thanks.
