This is dumb. If you are OOP, this is different because checking may induce a bluff, but you always, ALWAYS have to bet this river, even if there is a .01% chance he will call.

This is a very easy river bet... He probably had something like KQ and would have given you another call.

I'd say you missed a bet here. This looks like a Kx calling you down with top pair after getting raised on the flop. Could easily be a missed flush draw, too, in which case you won't get called. But I'd throw one out there anyway.

The only way I don't bet this is if he open-folds on the river. OOP, if you think he's got a busted flush draw, you might think about checking to induce a bluff. Otherwise, I bet this river 100% of the time.

You're making a huge mistake.

What happens if you bet and he folds? It's the same as when you check behind.
What happens if you bet and he calls? You do better than checking behind.

So you've taken the option that does worse in some situations and no better in others.

(River check-raise? It's rare enough to be of little concern.)

He had KTs and I missed a bet on river as he would have probably called my bet.
