If you are Lic for the OEM version then thats all you can use, IE you can not use your friend Box Copy on your PC even if you have the OEM install code and Lic key stamped on the side

Also this convo needs to move to computer Tech if it has to go any further

Anyone who thinks this through will realize 90+% of the time this is because the people using those Dells are idiots. You could put them behind any homemade machine, and the same things would happen.

this is correct. it's also natural that you hear more Dell complaints than other company complaints, b/c, duh, Dell sells a lot more computers than anyone else.
