Questions about motorcycle value / mechanics

There's a fellow out with an 84 Moto Guzzi V 65 that has a blown clutch. He's looking to sell for 'best offer.' Assuming when I inspect the bike and it's in good condition (aside from the clutch) that I'm interested, what are you bidding here? I'm not thinking much but I don't want to totally lowball the guy either.

What is a ballpark cost for replacing a clutch on an old bike like this? I'm guessing finding the part may be the hard part.

Is it worth the time? I'm looking for a cheap starter bike to tool around this summer. This one fits my general size and style desires. Are there any good resources similar to Kelly Blue Book for used bikes? I'm having a hard time getting any info.

Thanks OOT.
