Is there any reason not to sign up for rakeback?

OK, so I'm a long time bonus whore who has finally decided to look into rakeback (I had signed up for a lot of my accounts well before I knew anything about rakeback), and I'm just curious to know if there's any reason not to sign up for a new site through an affiliate. I mean, are there are any disadvantages to doing this, or are you really just an idiot for passing up free money?

I'm planning on signing up on Eurobet to tackle their $600 bonus, and thought it might be worthwhile to sign up through an affiliate for rakeback as well. My understanding is that the $600 in bonus money is deducted from my MGR, thus reducing the amount of rakeback I receive, but I'm still getting money back on top of that bonus, right?

Sorry if this is such a newbie question...

I cannot understand why you would not want to sign for rakeback. It means that on some sites you can earn rakeback and bonuses at the same time. Also it means you get rakeback if there are no bonuses to work off.

The only reason i could think of is if you want to sign up for an affiliate who offers some other incentive for signing up. I.e a poker book, cash etc. If you wanted that ggift and you were only to play the site to get the bonus then i guess signing up that way would be better.

I hope that helps you.

Regarding the eurobet bonus of 600 w/rakeback. It is much easier to win on party than clear this profitably (it takes forever also). If you plan on playing cash games the rake is also much larger on pokerroom (eurobet) for small stakes games compared to other rooms.
