HU SNG ROI

I've decided my HU game blows chunks, so I'm going to donate at the HU sngs for a while. So I have some clue as to when I've improved enough, What roi would be considered good?

Just go play. I'm certain you'll improve, but using ROI to decide if you have improved "enough" seems silly.

Work on adjusting to your opponents, each will have their own weaknesses to exploit. Work on getting value out of your marginal hands. Work on changing gears. That's how I would judge improvement.

That too. If you're up for playing tomorrow, pm me. I'll be free during the day.

Re: HU SNG ROI

At the $5 +.25 on bodog, I was easily able to win 70% for an ROI of 33%. I know that I don't play these optimally.

I'd guess that at higher stakes a 20% ROI is achievable, although I have no direct data.

Gl. (HU = fun)

I think using ROI for HU is a bad way of keeping track. I think win percentage is probally better. Also What strategy do you guys use for HU?

Re: HU SNG ROI

why would ROI be bad? i would keep seperate ROI for each level i'm at...

they're basically the same thing, except i'm used to seeing my results in ROI form.

and i'm passive w/ a deep stack, and aggressive with a short stack. But, that's why i'm playing more of these, becaause i dont know what's good.

Why? I guess it's a bit more intuitive to understand what's going on that way, but using ROI makes it a lot easier to compare profitability to SNGs. Seems like it should be easy enough to just convert on the fly though, shouldn't ROI just be 1.95p - 1 if your win % is p?
