Re: Geography trivia

I'll just guess at these. Results in white:

<font color="white">
1. Dallas, TX is the biggest.
2. Canada.
3. Maine (I'm guessing this is wrong).
4. Alaska is the furthest east.
5. Denver, CO. is highest elevation.
6. MA, for highest population density?
7. FL has the longest coastline.
8. I don't know.
9. I don't know.
10. Illinois has the most land area? (Note: If you count Alaska because of the IDL then the answer is Alaska).
</font>

World Trivia:

<font color="white">
1. Afghanistan, Azjerbaijan(sic?).
2. 6 contintents have a city named rome.
3. I don't know.
4. I don't know.
5. I don't know.
6. Japan has the highest population density.
7. Airport with the world's highest elevation is in...um...Zurich?
</font>

Some of these were damn hard.

Re: Geography trivia

The first question is a good trick question. If you excluded Calif, Houston would be the answer. But Southern California extends east from the Tahoe area, but how far? So the answer must be LA.

Rhode Island for population density (2 house seats on hardly any land)

Georgia is the largest state east of Mississippi. I remember this from Jimmy Carter's Presidential campaign.

Extra credit: What is the second foreign country you come to going due south of Detroit?

It has a couple of islands west of the International Date Line, which makes them the farthest points East in the U.S.
