I found my leak, I can\'t handle prosperity.
Everytime I double up, I end up losing.

That's a pretty bad leak if you consistantly lose after gaining the chiplead. I'd examine my game thoroughly. Most players play better when they're winning, but some throw it away... just watch what you're doing, tighten up maybe.

That is the new plan. Yes it is a weak ass play but it is going to take sometime to cure this problem. Nest time I double up in a limit game, I am cashing out, taking a nice long break (more than the hour allowed with a play over box) and getting a new seat at one of the must move tables.

If you are having this problem in a limit game, then you really aren't playing well. Examine your starting hand strategy and learn to fold more marginal hands and draws with bad odds. Even if you begin anew by being overly weak-tight that is the foundation upon which to build.

Re: I found my leak, I can\'t handle prosperity.
I remember this guy at Canterbury once. He colored up and demanded the chip runner bring him green instead of black. He insisted that the black chips brought him bad luck, because he always lost when he colored up, and thought he'd try something different. It became clear very quickly why he lost when he colored up. The more chips he accumulated, the worse he played.
And yes, he lost the green as well. |
