simple question vs. unknowns

my second hand at the table

Party Poker 10/20 (6max, 6handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets, BB folds, UTG folds, Button raises, Hero 3-bets...

Too aggressive vs. unknown? If so, what's my line?
What if the top card was a king instead?

I don't 3-bet. I peel the turn and fold UI(meaning I dont pick up a draw or 2P on the turn).

Re: simple question vs. unknowns

the odds would seem to dictate that I must fold the flop if I don't believe I have the best hand.
discounting my two-pair outs slightly and accounting for backdoor draws puts me between 5 and 6 outs i think. getting 7-1, I shouldn't make that peel except for metagame reasons which i think we should ignore here.

I'd call down against a 10/20 unknown.

Getting 7-1 with backdoors, and taking into account some implied odds (which are even more of a factor if you're going to fold UI), you have to peel at least.

Re: simple question vs. unknowns

You don't give yourself enough outs here. You have at least your 5 outs to 2pair/set + BD outs to a broadway straight and a flush draw. I see no reason not to peel the turn knowing that if you hit you are going to get paid(the guy has shown he likes his hand). There is also the chance you do have the best hand and the guy will check behind the turn or some other dumb move.
