Would you make this call?

This is about the 4th hand of the tourney so no reads.
Forget the fact that I should raised preflop.

Would you call villian's push?

I would instacall, there really isn't a much better flop for your hand. You're gonna see him turn up all sorts of trash, especially at an 11.

Instacall. At worst, you're up against a set and still almost 30% to win. And although I'm sure a donk might make this play trying to get flush draws out, he could also be on bottom two pair, or maybe even a weaker king or worse flush draw.

Re: Would you make this call?

A wild raise like this could be many things, but I would call this (the club draw makes this fairly easy IMO - on a rainbow flop I could see myself possibly folding this).

As to the pre-flop - I check AK in the BB if there are three limpers - as I feel my FE is very low and when the flop misses, I don't like to make a continuation bet w/ 2 or more people in the hand.

Here, I would RR PF though since there are only two limpers, hoping to get the hand one-on-one or win it outright.

Flop raise - why only t50? I make it t100-125, leaning more toward t125.

one more thing - while it is only the 4th hand of the tourney, villian has already won a hand, so you should have SOME read on him. did he raise like this to win that first pot? (in which a call is MUCH more likely). regardless, I load up the hand in the instant HH to review what he did before I make my decision...

The only argument I can see for folding is to wait to see if this guy's playing sets that way or garbage that way. But just call.

Re: Would you make this call?

This is an easy call for me with the club draw as well. I'm *guessing* he limped from MP with AA, am I right (just curious)? I find the donks like to slowplay AA preflop then make crazy huge bets the minute they could be beat. It's the "oh [censored], I let the blinds see the flop for free" raise. Of course, he seems really clueless so he could have a variety of hands here, but my guess is AA.

TPBK and the nut flush draw. To not call this would be a travesty.

Thanks for the advise on raising with AK in BB.

By the way, concerning your question on the hand he won. It was the prior hand.

He limped in with two others

flop came

9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

checked around

9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

he called t20

7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

he bet and showed down

K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
