Freeipods, FreeTVs, etc... not spam folks, looking for MTT thoughts

Ok,
So everyone knows about these sites where you refer people to certain offers and you get free stuff for it, here is the thought. If we get 10 or so people in MTT to get in on this and use the various different sites that this marketing firm uses we could easily get one free post xmas gift each. I call it the pyriamid christmas scheme (stephen colbert reference), but seriously if we got some people to do this it could work. Let me know!

I think he means each of the 10 people recruits everyone else for a different site and they all get a thing from every site. Scheming the pyramid schemes.

I think this belongs in the Internet Bonuses section.

EDIT: I'm down if there's an economic profit to this (I won't do it if it takes 40 hours to get an mp3 player).

Yo, I've done this before. I got a freeipod andddddd I'm also about finished with Gamesgifts.

Anyways, it would have to be 10 different referral programs and each person would have to sign up for each one under each person. It might become a hassle.

Of course, if you figure it all out, I'm in fo' sho'.

Freeipods.com even sent me a free t-shirt. W00t.

I'm so in.

edit:

THIS seems to be the site that runs all the seperate ones.

This would require some good organizing, but would be awesome. Most of these are things i'd want, but wouldn't actually want to .. you know. Pay for.

I dropped my iPod Mini once and it stopped working properly. Apparently it was horribly engineered and the wires aren't attached well.

Re: Freeipods, FreeTVs, etc... not spam folks, looking for MTT thought

The easiest way to complete "offers" is to use a credit card generator... a legit one. My credit card, the AT&T Universal Cash Rewards card, has this piece of software I downloaded from the online bill pay service that lets me generate card numbers with a certain dollar limit. I use those numbers at any site that seems a bit shady or if I think they might attempt to charge my card in the future. If you sign up for one of these $1 offers that plans on charging you $39.95 a month in the future, it's much easier for them to run into a card with a $1 limit than it is for you to actually manage to cancel it.

Is this a site where you take some survey and you get your prize once you refer 10 other people to the same site? I'll do it.

Basically what this would be is... the site is run off of pure marketing. 1 person signs up for an account there. Then they have to refer like 8 people to do one of about 20 free things (free trials, signing up somewhere, etc), once they get those 8 then they get a free something (Ipod, Tv, PSP, something like that), the turn around is usually 6-8 weeks and these sites have been spotlighted on g4 and CNET before and ARE legit. So basically we could find groups of 8 or 10 people all looking for the same prize, and all of whom are doing 1 thing for 1 other person, which in the end, would net 8 people 8 things. I, or someone else, needs to read the T & Cs to see if 1 person can help more than one person get a gift, as I am only 95% sure of this.
