I sure as hell don't limp. Yeah I totally raise this.

A raise would be considered standard.

If MP1 had a better hand than you, he probably would have raised before you. So ya, raise for value and isolation purposes and because you have position.

Yup. Even better if the button and blinds are tight.

is a,9s about the limit for a raise here, or maybe a,8s?

I will mostly raise A8s here as well, and against a limper I know to be weak I would raise a bit lower than that. But I'm not 100% certain how low you can go here, before it becomes a -EV move.

Of course, the mix of players behind you is important too. With tough, aggressive players yet to act, you need to be more selective. And also if the limper is tight.

Easy raise.

I probably raise any ace suited, any two broadway suited, down to A7 or so offsuit, and probably down to QJo. Also T9s and maybe 98s. And pairs 55 and higher.

Raising one limper in the CO = oodles of fun.

With one limper and hopefully a read on the blinds and the two people behind us. I think this raise is pretty standard as it allows for the hand to play itself postflop.

Also lets you get a feel for the unknown and how he deals with the situation itself. You might find out on this hand if he sucks, or if he sucks really badly.
