A slick too far?

I get awfully nervous when I see a four flush on the board, and my tendency is to fold/check if I don't have the suit ... even heads-up. I would guess this is a leak that could be costly over time. ... comments on this hand would be welcomed:

Well played and I'd take the free showdown here.

I check behind here. Betting causes better hands to raise you, and worse hands are in all likelyhood going to fold. If the Opp has like TT or JJ they might call, but that's a pretty narrow range of hands to valuebet.

Yeah, that's good. I'd check behind here. You'll be surprised how often you win without the flush here- -esp if you move to 6max.

I see no problem with bet/fold here. Given his flop bet, he'll often have a weak ace here. This will warrant a call-down enough to be profitable.

*grunch*
check the river. you want to show it down but you certainly don't want be raised. Villain raised preflop so he might have some other ace, but there is a good chance he made his flush with whatever side-card he had. Without reads I wouldn't bluff . And even with reads, I probably just check.

Most low limit players are untrusting souls and call way too much. To beat them, you should value bet more frequently. Further, they don't bluff raise often enough, so you can confidently fold if raised. bet / fold. You will win lots of showdowns after being called.

sets, straights, and weak flushes all just call.

I get called here by any ace all the time, sometimes even worse. Sometimes, unbelievably worse.
